We generally recommend Super Turf II in areas where supplemental water is available, though it will adapt well to low maintenance areas. 

How to Seed: Use a spreader or seed by hand to evenly distribute seed.

1. Choose your seeding rate: 
2. New Seeding: Spread 10 lbs per 1,000 sq ft on bare ground.
3. Overseeding: Use 5 lbs per 1,000 sq ft.
4. Apply seeds evenly over the prepared soil surface.
5. Rake lightly to cover seeds with 1/4" to 1/2" of soil.
6. Water thoroughly and keep soil moist until germination and beyond.

Super Turf II is a premium grass seed blend made from top-rated Turf Type Tall Fescue and Kentucky Bluegrass cultivars. These varieties have scored at the top of NTEP (National Turfgrass Evaluation Program) trials for overall turf quality, low-maintenance performance, and disease resistance, especially against brown patch.

This blend features Turf Type Tall Fescue for durability and low input needs, plus 7% Kentucky Bluegrass for its rhizome-based “knitting” effect, helping the lawn fill in without competing with the fescue.

Super Turf II will establish and grow in all conditions with the exception of full shade. It can withstand heat, drought, and cold better than standard grass types.

Does Super Turf II work with my grass type?

The seed you should use largely depends on your grass type, which you can find here. Super Turf II is a blend of tall fescue and bluegrass, which is typically found on cool season lawns.

How much seed do I need for my lawn?

Getting the amount of seed right depends largely on your rate of seeding, amount of bare patches, and overall goals. Generally we say you’ll need about 10 lbs per 1,000 sq ft. if you’re seeding bare ground, and 5 lbs per 1,000 sq ft. if you’re overseeding. But, your mileage may vary depending on your rate of seeding. Excess seed can be saved for next season.

I have too much product. Can I save it for later?
