BEFORE WEEDS EMERGE
Weed Wipeout
Targets weeds as they germinate before they emerge. Do not use it in an area where you are trying to establish grass seed unless the product label specifically permits it.

ALREADY HAVE A LAWNBRIGHT PLAN?
Your fall application order may vary based on your grass type, soil, climate and the products in your shipment. If your account schedule or product instructions differ from the general guidance on this page, follow the personalized guidance.
YOUR FALL PACK
Fall Packs can vary based on your lawn and plan. Check your account and identify each product before beginning.
Fall Packs are not necessarily identical. Your shipment may include a combination of soil conditioners, fertilizers, weed control products or winter-preparation products based on your plan and lawn. Sign in to your Lawnbright account to see what was selected for you.
Apply only the products that are appropriate for your lawn’s current conditions and scheduled timing. Do not assume everything in the shipment belongs on the lawn at once. Your account schedule and the instructions for each product should guide you.
There is no single fall product order that is correct for every customer. The sequence can change based on your grass type, weather, soil, seeding plans and the products you received. Follow the schedule in your account and the individual product instructions.
If your schedule is unclear or your lawn conditions have changed, contact Lawnbright before rearranging the applications.
Do not assume two products can be applied on the same day, and never mix products together in one sprayer unless the product instructions explicitly allow it. Follow the spacing in the product instructions. If the correct interval is not clear, contact Lawnbright before combining or compressing applications.
Do not apply every missed product at once. First confirm that each product is still appropriate for your lawn, current weather and point in the season. Then use your account schedule or contact Lawnbright for help adjusting the sequence.
Check the current conditions before applying. Some fall products may still be appropriate, while others depend on active growth, seeding timing or soil temperature. Do not apply a product simply to finish the box before winter. Contact Lawnbright if you need an updated schedule.
IF YOU’RE SEEDING
You may still be able to use several Lawnbright products while renovating your lawn, but seeding can change the correct order and timing.

Possibly, but not every product may belong in the same part of your seeding timeline. Soil conditioners, starter products, fertilizers, weed prevention and visible-weed treatments serve different purposes. Follow your account schedule and each product’s instructions rather than applying the entire pack together.
If Aeroflow is included in your renovation schedule, apply it at the timing provided in your account or product instructions and water it in as directed. Aeroflow can support water movement and soil conditions, but it does not replace core aeration when severe compaction requires physical soil plugs.
Apply Total Lawn Starter at the timing shown in your plan or its current product instructions. Do not substitute a different fertilizer or add an extra application to new seedlings without checking first.
Do not apply a pre-emergent in an area where you are trying to germinate grass seed unless the product label specifically permits it. Pre-emergents are designed to interrupt germination and can affect desirable grass seed too. Follow the Weed Wipeout label when planning your seeding window.
Pulverize is intended for visible broadleaf weeds, but its reseeding directions still apply. Do not spot-treat a newly seeded area or shorten the required interval. Check the product label before deciding whether to treat weeds before or after seeding.
Wait until the new grass is established and has been mowed the number of times required by the weed control label. As a general Lawnbright benchmark, wait until the new grass has been mowed at least three times. The product label is the final authority.
Resume products according to your personalized schedule and their individual instructions. New grass must be established enough to tolerate normal lawn traffic and application. If your original schedule no longer fits your seeding date, contact Lawnbright for an adjusted sequence.
FALL WEED CONTROL
These products address weeds at different stages. Use the product assigned for your lawn and keep your seeding plans in mind.
BEFORE WEEDS EMERGE
Targets weeds as they germinate before they emerge. Do not use it in an area where you are trying to establish grass seed unless the product label specifically permits it.
VISIBLE WEEDS
Targets visible broadleaf weeds. Apply only under conditions allowed by the product label and observe its reseeding directions.
Use Weed Wipeout when it is assigned to help prevent targeted weeds before they emerge. Use Pulverize to treat visible broadleaf weeds. One product does not replace the other, and neither should be substituted for a product listed in your schedule.
Do not mix them together or assume they can be applied on the same day. Follow the application order and spacing in your schedule and product instructions. Contact Lawnbright if the correct timing is unclear.
Avoid applying Weed Wipeout when heavy rain is forecast within 48 hours. Heavy rain can create runoff or move the product away from the intended area. Follow the current product instructions for watering and weather conditions.
Pulverize is a foliar treatment that must remain on the visible weed long enough to work as directed. Check the product label for its required weather and watering conditions before applying.
Be cautious when the lawn is severely wilted, drought-stressed or dormant. Apply only within the conditions permitted by the label and avoid the hottest part of the day. If the grass or weeds are not actively growing, waiting may be more appropriate.
Use the purple sprayer for Weed Wipeout and the black sprayer for Pulverize. Sprayers cannot be substituted because each assigned sprayer is designed to deliver the proper rate of application.
Do not apply the product with a different Lawnbright sprayer. If the assigned sprayer is missing or damaged, contact Lawnbright before applying.
WINTER PREPARATION
Late-fall timing depends on lawn growth, soil conditions and your climate—not one national calendar date.
Winter-preparation products are intended to support the lawn as active growth slows and it enters the colder part of the year. They are not a treatment for fully frozen soil or severely dormant grass. Apply only at the timing assigned in your schedule or product instructions.
Apply Cold Snap at the late-fall timing shown in your account or current product instructions. The right window generally occurs as lawn growth slows but before the ground freezes. Because conditions vary by region and year, do not rely on one fixed national date.
Follow the order shown in your Lawnbright account and the instructions for the products you received. Do not assume that Green Machine, Turf Star and Cold Snap should be applied together or at a universal interval. Contact Lawnbright if your schedule no longer fits the current conditions.
A single light frost does not necessarily mean the application window has closed. Lawn growth, soil conditions and whether the ground is frozen are more useful than the first frost date alone. Check your schedule and product instructions before applying.
No. Do not apply to frozen ground or when the lawn cannot absorb the treatment as directed. Frozen soil can increase the risk of runoff and prevent the product from reaching the intended area.
Follow the watering directions on the Cold Snap bottle or current product instructions. Use enough water to move the treatment into the root zone without creating puddles or runoff.
Do not force every remaining application onto a dormant lawn or frozen ground. Check whether each product is still appropriate for the current conditions. Store unused product properly and contact Lawnbright for help deciding what to use now and what to hold.
Close each original container tightly and store it upright in a cool, dry place away from children and pets. Protect the product from freezing and excessive heat. Remove the sprayer before storage and do not leave diluted product in a sprayer.
WARM SEASON LAWNS
Bermuda, zoysia, St. Augustine and other warm season grasses begin slowing down as temperatures fall. Do not automatically follow cool-season fall guidance.
No. Warm season lawns follow a different growth and dormancy cycle. Do not use a cool-season application or overseeding sequence unless your Lawnbright schedule or product instructions specifically direct you to do so.
Apply only the products assigned for that stage of your lawn’s seasonal cycle. As growth slows, some products may need to be applied promptly while others may no longer be appropriate. Do not apply every remaining product simply because the lawn is beginning to turn brown.
A green lawn may still be actively growing, but color alone does not determine whether a product is appropriate. Consider recent temperatures, lawn growth and your personalized schedule before applying.
Winter overseeding is a separate process from renovating a cool-season lawn. It requires a compatible seed choice and a plan for how the temporary grass will transition out when the warm season turf resumes growth. Do not use the standard cool-season overseeding sequence by default.
Dormant grass is not actively taking up nutrients the way growing turf does. Unless a product is specifically assigned for dormant timing, wait and contact Lawnbright for guidance before applying.
Only use a weed-control product when it is labeled for your grass type and current lawn conditions. Follow the assigned product, application window and seeding restrictions shown in your schedule and on the product label.
