North Star Rhizomatous Tall Fescue with lateral spread technology is a mixture of the very best of the new Turf Type Tall Fescue cultivars. Whether you're overseeding in the fall or repairing bare areas in spring, this blend is built to thrive across a range of soil types and weather conditions.

North Star is a 100% rhizomatous (spreading) tall fescue that will establish and grow in all conditions - even full shade. It can withstand heat, drought, and cold better than standard grass types. Unlike other tall fescue varieties, this spreads laterally to fill in bare patches.

Coverage: 5 lbs covers up to 1,250 sq. ft. for new seeding, or 2,500 sq. ft. for overseeding.

How To Use

  • New Seeding: Spread 8 lbs per 1,000 sq ft on bare ground.
  • Overseeding: Use 4 lbs per 1,000 sq ft to thicken up existing lawns.
  • Water: Keep soil consistently moist until seedlings emerge, then water deeply and regularly during the first growing season.
